Hi, Im ____ with Base Power. I am conducting site surveys and introducing Base Power's Texas Grid Stability Initiative. Basically, in response to recent events brought on by our state grid failures and volatility, this program has been formed to provide win-win solutions for both consumers and grid stability. Have you heard much about the issues related to the grid other than the major winter storms the last few years? Things like brown outs, demand response - where the state asks consumers to moderate their energy consumption when we hit times of "peak need"?
Right, as the grid is being updated and modernized we continue to see population and energy consumption growth. So unfortunately, a lot of these issues are forecasted to continue and mostly likely worsen.
A lot of people we have spoken with have done things like switching to solar or purchased energy battery storage systems to combat these problems. Have you looked into solar or battery storage? What were some of the reasons you decided not to make the switch or to not purchase the storage battery? And you are a homeowner, right?

Obviously, everyone in the Oncor footprint has to choose a REP (retail electric provider) - the feedback we hear the most is - confusing rate plans, extra charges, and a lack of straight-forward billing, how has your experience been with your REP?
Lastly, storm related outages are just something we all have to deal with in Texas, separate from the grid issues. Have you, or your friends or family experienced any outages in recent years?
Understood. I appreciate your feedback. So, based on your responses, your home may be a candidate for the Base Power Beta Program. All that means is that, we can get you more information on how the program works but in a nutshell -
Base is the first retail electricity provider approved to provide a home battery to unlock lower energy rates and reliable outage protection. They install batteries on folks' homes – When the grid is up and running, Base improves grid stability by discharging excess energy from the battery at times of peak need. The consumer plans include a free battery with a discounted install charge - the install charge ranges between $2000 and $3000 based on the plan you choose, that's a one time install fee and there are no additional monthly charges, no financing, just pay for the energy you use, just like always.
Base Power only serves as a REP for customers participating in this energy storage program. These customers receive the benefits of backup power without the upfront costs of traditional batteries or gas powered generators. The Base Power plans always include price matching against your current rates and in most cases will show meaningful savings.
